Zoom Not Working in Lightroom

I have been working in Lightroom for a few months now, but am about to abandon it simply because the zoom function does not work. I want to use Ctrl+ and Ctrl- to zoom as in Photoshop. It is documented to work that way, but it does nothing. It works fine for me in Photoshop. I am in Windows 10.

In Library Loupe view and in Develop, the Windows zoom shortcuts are Ctrl - and Ctrl =. This is documented correctly in the help shown by the Library menu command Help > Library Module Shortcuts (see the screenshot below).

Where did you read that the shortcuts were different?  (There may be a mistake that needs correcting.)

Also, Adobe's documentation of shortcuts is very incomplete.  The best list is here:
