Photoshop CS6: crashing

Just upgraded to CS 6 a couple of days ago and I've had Photoshop crash on me more times in one day than the two plus years I was using version CS5 - this is ridiculous! It's pretty obvious with your save recovery feature you are aware that this version is extremely buggy. Why would you release this version or the feature (my guess is the improved crop tool - the one tool that did not need any improvements)?

I really wish you wouldn't release the program for sale until all you beta testing was done - I'm paying $700 to experience your crashes... thanks

Most of the crashes we're seeing are due to bugs in third party drivers, and operating system bugs (and almost forgot third party plugins). But all software has some bugs.

If you'd like to provide more details, we might be able to help you figure out the cause of the crashes you're seeing. We need to know which OS version you are using, what the crash reports say, and it would be helpful to know what you were doing at the time of the crash.

I haven't installed any third party plug ins for Photoshop. I am using snow leopard 10.6.8 and prior to upgrading to CS 6 I had no problems with PS 5 - I have 24GBs of Ram I have the scratch disk set to an empty drive not the boot drive.

Not sure what you mean by third party drivers - when I'm working in photoshop all other programs are shut down I am working on large files with multiple layers - I've had it crash on many different file configurations doing a variety of tasks that I can't see one specific connection. No printers are currently attached nor am I using any additional image editing software with these images.

I had thought that I had waited long enough from when you release it to the public I was wrong and do hope you will fix these bugs. I would of had no problem waiting a couple more months for a stable program.

Third party drivers include things like scanner drivers, printer drivers, video card drivers, keyboard drivers (used by some wireless keyboards), etc.

Well, just keep sending the crash reports to Adobe so we know where you're crashing and have a chance of fixing it.

I am also having this problem. All of a sudden I can't do a save as. Every single time, PS6 crashes. This causes me to then have to restart my computer. I've been sending the logs each time, but nothing is getting fixed. I literally cannot get any work done and I have deadlines!

Why are you restarting your computer?
An application crashing wouldn't affect anything else on your system.

What OS version are you using?
