Photoshop (Elements) is very difficult to learn without spending an awfully long time. One shouldn't have to know the whole program in order to accomplish some simple tasks. You need three things:
1. You need "How to do something??" areas where people can easily pick up on simple things and techniques by seeing examples.
2. The "search for " area in your user community is impossible to use. When you ask a question, you get thousands of answers, and they are in no order. They need to be sorted into relevancy so one does not have to spend all day trying to find something.
3. You need to make some simple defaults in some areas so the user does not have to spend all day trying to figure out how to do it.
For example, trying to print two small photos on a 4x6 card took 3 days, when it takes 5 minutes with a free program. When you create a background layer and then move a picture onto that layer, the program should internally transform the ppi of the photo to that of the background so that your sizes in inches of the pictures remain constant on the background. Otherwise the user wonders why their pictures suddenly changed size when they moved them to the canvas. People need to know that the ppi of everything needs to be the same to prevent chaos and confusion. Or, the program should automatically adjust for it.
