MacOS 10.10 Yosemite Spotlight and Quicklook are really slow

Since the update to Yosemite, I'm having a lot of problems viewing PSDs in Spotlight and Quicklook.

When I search though the new alfred-like spotlight and hit a PSD, Spotlight will freeze for ~6seconds and not accept any input.. Cant even close it with esc.

The same thing is happening with Quicklook in the finder. Once I hit the spacebar, nothing happens for 3 seconds, the beachball pops up for a further 3-4, then I finally get the preview.

It's actually much faster to open the PSD in photoshop! Although that is a little inconvenient when searching for the right version of a file.

You should report this to Apple so they can investigate their search code, and include some of the files that are causing the Finder/OS to respond slowly. They will probably need additional information to figure out the cause of the slowdown in MacOS 10.10.
