Lightroom: Wouldn't it be great to be able to search collection names?

I live in my collections, and sometimes I have to find obscure methods to find where a particular one might be nested. I have not found a way to search collection names,

Also, color-coded collections would be a helpful feature,

Smart collections.... There's a "collection name" criterion.

As John said above...

Create a Smart Collection where:

Source>Collection - Contains- Whatever name you are looking for

Rikk - thanks for the reply. I tried it and the result is that I get the images that are in the collection but I actually want to go to the collection so I can add more images. For example; I have 'RPS potential' and 'RPS selected' both are buried down a collection structure about six levels down so in order to find them and work on them.

If the selection is in regular collection then I can select one of the images, right mouse and go to collection and I have what I want. But if its a smart collection I can't do that.
Ive got so many collections now that the list is off the screen and I am spending ages looking for it. I simply want a search box above the collections such as you get for keywords.
Hope that makes sense.

After filtering:

If you click on the collection badge on the image's thumbnail, it doesn't give you a list of collections in which the image resides?

Clicking on the badge then selecting the collection should take you where you want to go.

Yes it does but as I said this only works for regular collections and not smart collections.
I think you will agree that this is a work-a-round and adding the search as I suggest would be a full solution.

Kevin,

The Any Source plugin lets you search directly and incrementally for folders, collections, smart collections, and publish collections.
