I've been trying out Lightroom 5 Beta and I'm loving it. BUT, while this and similar programs allow us to mimic the effects of film grain and film characteristics, that is only half a loaf. Why not offer similar options that mimic photographic paper? Anyone who ever spent time in a darkroom can tell you how paper selection had a profound impact on print quality. And papers differed by company, by richness(silver content), tone (cold or warm) and contrast grade. If you could provide us with presets in Lightroom that would allow us to control the variables I just listed, you'd be doing all of us a tremendous favor. TIA for considering this suggestion. Slainte!
