A user reported in the U2U that he cannot fully generate all the assets he wants because of the character lenght restriction. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/129406...

I am still running into a problem with character limit. It is more than 64 characters, but trying to write a "default" layer for exporting assets for Windows store doesn't let me add all the options I need to.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Photoshop: Limits layer titles to 64 chars, problem for generator functionality.

when trying to export graphics with adobe generator, the character limit of 64 characters gets in the way of creating multiple files of the same layer. i.e. "responsive_menu-icon_menuname.png, 200% responsive_menu-icon_menuname@2x.png" - that's 76 characters
