Photoshop: Windows (canvas) gone missing when dragged to external monitor (CS5 // CC Mac 10.10)

When I try to move the window from laptop screen to the external monitor it disappears the moment it starts appearing on teh external screen. : only way to call it back is to disconnect the monitor. When connected back - the same happens.

"Show All Windows" reveals nothing.

Reinstalled about 5 times, re-set all prefs - no luck.
It worked fine before -- only recent changes would be downloading Bridge CC (though uninstalled since the "Photoshop" option in tools is missing).

CS5 + OSX 10.10 + Thunderbolt external LG monitor. Tried with CC and the same problem.

What do you have your Mission Control settings set to?

Sorry to hear that you are having so many problems with MacOS 10.10. Apple is working on solutions to many of the issues introduced in MacOS 10.10.

Now, does the window frame disappear (which means that the OS is not allowing the window to move to the other display), or just the contents of the window (which would be a video driver bug)?

Hi Chris and Jeffrey:

- mission control currently set to Displays have separate Spaces. I tried to disable the function - but then the problem was that I can only keep the RAW window on laptop screen (when dragged to the second screen it would just bounce straight back to the laptop screen)

- the whole window disappears - after a couple disconnections of the external monitor and re-starts of CS5 - I can get it stay on the external monitor.

- the whole window goes missing - not just content

- with any external plug-ins (Topaz, NIK or Noiseware) the same happens: window will launch on the laptop screen, when dragged to the external goes missing. "show all windows" does not quite reveal it. It stays active as I need to press ESC to get any other function going.

See Jeff's link: you need to turn off the option for "displays have separate spaces", because that prevents applications from using more than one display.
