Lightroom CC: Import from SD Card says "cannot read" (Windows 10)

Windows 10 will not import from SD card - message box with "Cannot read" with a list of file names. The list of file names was correct meaning it could see the SD card and files.

Copied the files to a local hard drive and then imported without a problem from there.

How can you download anything from your SD card if my computer won't recognize it?  I can't find it, therefore I can't open it.   My job requires me to post pictures from my camera to online ads like Craigs List....this new computer system is making my like less productive.

I have the same issue. Lightroom CC (newest version) on Win10 (newest version) came up with that message box on import attempt. Card is fine. Could copy the files on the hard drive.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Not sure what happened - after a Lightroom update months back, it just started working again.  And has been fine since.
