Window size no longer auto-resize when hitting cmd+plus or cmd+minus in photoshop CC

using photoshop CC

I used to be able to resize my window automatically when I hit cmd+plus or cmd+minus but suddenly it seemed to stop working. Now, for example, I hit cmd+minus and my workspace would zoom out but my window size would stay large. I would then have to use a mouse to drag the corner to manually resize it. I'd really like to know how to revert it back to auto-resize because I find it very useful.

I should also note that I have the application frame turned off so that each file has its own window or they are tabbed together.

Check the "Resize Windows to Fit" option in the zoom tool, which controls whether the windows will resize or not.
