Photoshop: Window doesn't resize correctly after cropping

CC 2018 19.1.3 - Cropping - but window stays same. I do heaps of cropping. However, 2018 version refuses to resize window after Crop (I've never struck this before over 15 years). Window stays same size, filled with black - and the little crop zone sits in middle. It's infuriating. Only by zooming does it act properly. Please help!!

Howdy Roger,

Are you changing the document size after cropping or just trying to zoom in?  I'm not having trouble with either in 2018.  Could you give me an example of the specific steps you're doing?
1) launch PS
2) create a document
3) crop the document (are you deleting cropped pixels?)
4) ???

Thanks,
David

Does it only happen with Rulers are turned on?

If I have a large image, and crop it down to one element - the Window edges stay at same large size. The Window does not reduce to match new, smaller area of cropped image.:)

Sounds like the same issue that has been discussed on the adobe photoshop forum:

Correct, JEA.  Saw that earlier.  I just downloaded previous version. (19.1.2)  Same problem.  I'll just have to get used to it.  Thanks all ...
