Will Lightroom be optimized for the Xeon multi-core processors powering the late 2013 Mac Pro?

Apart from Final Cut Pro, programs do not yet make use of the new multi-core processors (4, 6, 8 or 12 cores), which shows in the benchmarks.

Lightroom is already using multicore/multithreading.
And Photoshop uses multicore/multithreading as well (and has since Photoshop 3).

I'm not sure where you (incorrectly) heard that only FinalCutPro was using multicore/multithreading.

Also, beware of overly optimistic threading benchmarks -- poorly optimized code shows the most gain on additional cores, while highly optimized code shows less gain (because the RAM speed quickly becomes the bottleneck).
