Why is there a grey box around objects when I drag them around in the document window in Photoshop CS5 on Macintosh?

When I move layers around using the move tool, there is a gray box around the object that is distracting to me. Is there a way to not have this gray box show? Here's what I'm seeing:

The grey bounding box is the default UI behavior for dragged objects in Cocoa. This came with the transition from Cocoa to Carbon (64bit conversion of Photoshop on the Macintosh).

This behavior can be turned off using an optional extension plug in called "DisableDragBoundingBox.plugin" which can be downloaded from the following link:
