I have had to unistall Photoshop CC to get my applications to revert to their original form.

That makes no sense.
Photoshop cannot "embed" itself in other applications, and can't do anything when it is not running (and thus no need to uninstall).

What, exactly, are you seeing?
What OS version are you using?

All my applications change to photoshop . When I try to open any one of them, for example Portrait Professional, it opens as Photoshop CC. I have unistalled and all my applications have returned to normal.

I did reinstall but the same happened again, so I have unistalled once more. I am using Windows 7.

That could be part of the problem, but again, what you're describing isn't an application error, but a system error (launching the wrong application).

I stll can't understand why my other applications are working properly when I unistall Photoshop CC. This I find very strange.

I don't either. But Photoshop is just an application, and can't control what happens when you launch other applications -- only the OS can do that.

I have now updated my operating system and have downloaded Photoshop CC once again - the same thing happened. I unistalled it and all my applications reverted to normal. By way of an experiment I downloaded a trial version of Lightroom and my applications have stayed in their original form.

I don't know why Photoshop is causing such a problem but it started after I tried to update my Creative Cloud desktop app.

Photoshop itself cannot cause such a problem. Again, there is something very wrong with your system.
