I just got a new camera and Camera Raw and/or Lightroom does not recognize the raw files, has no camera-specific profiles or has some features not enabled. What do I do?

if you are absolutely can't wait for Adobe to get the act together - you can always buy a cheap N-Transformer ( https://www.iridientdigital.com/products/ntransformer_history.html ) - it will make demosaicked (linear) DNG files to use in ACR

I was very excited to get my new camera but am unable to open the raw files. I can't get an answer as to when the next update will happen to include this camera, and attempting to convert to dng didn't work either.  Any suggestions for what I can do?

Alternatively you can use exiftools or something like this to replace camera model from D780 to Z6... - people in the know (like FastRawViewer team) said "Nikon Z 6 and Nikon D780 use the same format, and the same sensor."

When can we expect an update that will allow us to open the new Nikon D780 NEF files in Lightroom and Photoshop?

Use Whatever software Nikon offers to edit and or convert the NEF files from that camera to TIF files and then import into LR Classic.

Just because "ANY" camera company comes out with a new camera doesn't mean Adobe is going to change their time line for coming out with a new version of LR and ACR.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom/Camera Raw: Camera profiles Canon EOS 90D.

The camera profiles are not available in Lightroom and Camera Raw for developing RAW-files from the Canon EOS 90D although the *.CR3-files are already developable. All of my presets are based on camera profiles. I used the Canon EOS 760D before. Therefore I cannot develop my RAWs from the new camera just now, because my work flow misses those camera profiles.

The comment to my topic was:

CR3 files are RAW files.

The 90D has been supported in LR and ACR for several versions, now.

What do you mean is wrong?

First of all: I know, that CR3 files are RAW files. And as I already wrote: I am able to develop the new RAW format CR3 in Lightroom. But I am not able to apply the various camera profiles (e. g. landscape, portrait, standard...) when developing RAW files because the camera profiles are missing.

My problem are the missing camera profiles not the developing itself. The developing works. When is an implementation of the profiles expected?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled D780 just another point and shoot without DNG or RAW files. HELP.

D780 have this new awesome camera and no way to use RAW files! Can't convert using the DNG converter. Nikon Software only gives me Tiff or Jpeg conversion. Crazy they launch this camera without having the ability to use RAW or DNG. Is there a scheduled update for the use of NEF from the D780?

Complain to Nikon, they caused this silly delay (again). It is crazy they like most other camera manufacturers launched another camera with tiny changes to their proprietary raws, forcing every 3rd party software vendor to decode, update, test and release another software package, which they will and always do, while you wait. Doesn’t have to be this way but has been for decades. The cause of this mess is utterly on the shoulders of the camera manufactures. Notice they don’t seem to have any issue forcing you to use your new camera with JPEGs. You’ll see updates to support a raw that shouldn’t have to be supported every time a new camera comes out. You gave money to Nikon, complain to them that once again, they forced their customers to wait to use software they prefer due solely to their efforts to make you wait for zero reason.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom Mobile: Enable 48mp on Mi 9T Pro/K20 Pro and lens profile correction..

We should be able to select the 48mp sensor inside LR Camera, and also switch between the other sensors as well. Also, lens profile correction would be very helpful, just like they already exist for some other not so popular smartphones.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can we expect support for the Huawei P40 Pro camera RAW files?.

With it being somewhat complicated to install the app on this phone, can we still expect RAW support for the cameras of the Huawei P40 Pro? After all, we can still use Lightroom on our desktops. Two of the cameras use RYYB sensors, making Lightroom pretty pointless to use without explicit support for those cameras.

Is there a way to treat those DNGs as if they were taken by a P30 Pro as a workaround for now?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom: Missing Camera Matching Profiles for Canon EOS RP till now (06.2020).

Unil now the Camera Matching Profiles in the RAW Development are still missing in June 2020 for the EOS RP.
(For the EOS R they are available, because of the different sensor)

Does someone know or can tell, when we can expect them?
Thanks a lot :)

PS: I know some people are working with self made profiles from the EOS 6D Mark II, but that's not a really good solution.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Sony ZV-1 Raw Import Support.

I just bought the new Sony ZV-1 camera that was just released. As of 06/18/2020 It is not yet support for Adobe Lightroom and would like to know if/when the camera will be supported for Raw file import and editing.
