RAW/DNG not supported in LR mobile on Huawei P20 PRO while mobile phone itself support RAW/DNG with its built in camera. However if I take a RAW/DNG with built-in camera and than try to open the picture in LR mobile than LR caches and exits .

I understand the digital back is old and not popular. I have been searching for months but could not find any working raw converter for it.
Below are two photos on the color target of X-Rite ColorChecker Passport:

I purchased a Pentax K-1 II recently. Lightroom is unable to add PEF files to the catalog.DNG files work, but are way underexposed. Also, the PixelShift feature does not work.
When is Adobe going to add support for this camera ?
I'm currently doing a trial of Lightroom Classic CC, and this is a problem for me.Thanks,Julien

Historically, most new Sony cameras (69%) get supported by LR in the release following the cameras' announcements, and the rest get supported in the next release after that. But the RX100 VI was announced June 5, just two weeks before LR 7.4 was released, and Adobe probably didn't even have its hands on the camera yet.  So almost certainly LR 7.5 will support the camera.  Adobe releases new versions of LR every 8 weeks on average, so we might see LR 7.5 mid-August. See here for details:

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled CS 5.1 won't import pictures that came from my camera since I updated to a new co....

CS 5.1 never recognized my dslr, so I was unable to transfer any of the over 800 photos taken. I did import them into Apple's "photos" program on my computer. CS 5.1 has updated it's library with only photos I have scanned into my computer, but none of the photos taken on my dslr, phone or even from other peoples phones who forwarded their pictures to my phone or computer have been imported to the Photo Shop library. When I opened PS a window opened saying that high sierra is 64 bit and suggested that PS should be updated, but that it still could run at 32 bit (I don't understand anything about that).
Is there anything I can do to fix this please?

Thanks for any help.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Update Needed to LR CC For Sony RX100vi.

It is so frustrating that RAW files from long-awaited new cameras are not supported by LR, while other editing software seems to work right away. I much prefer working with LR CC, but hate the long wait for updates for new cameras. (Sony RX100vi at the moment.)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom 6.0: raw files unreadable on Windows, my Mac reads them just fine.

Similar to https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/unable_to_read_card_or_import_pics_on_a_mac .

I have a MacBook running OS10.12.6, and Lightroom 6.0 with CameraRaw 9.0. I recently bought a new Nikon 5600, upgrading from my 5100, and a new card to go with it.

I have successfully used this setup in the past to import photos from the card into Lightroom and manipulate them. When I went to do this today, however, I received the message "The files are not recognized by the RAW file support in Lightroom." I copied the files to my hard drive using the Finder, but get the same message on trying an import from there.

I've tried clearing my Raw cache, to no effect. The RAW files preview fine on my Mac, and they can be opened (albeit with some errors) in GIMP.

Never had a similar problem with Lightroom 4, and as I said, the existing setup worked fine for a while. Please help.

Hi Roger,
Raw NEF files from your Nikon D5600 were added to camera support in Lightroom Version 6.8
(For supported cameras see here- https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
You should update (free) to Version 6.14 by downloading the 'patch' at- https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/lightroom-downloads.html
(Do not un-install v6.0  it is needed to apply the 'patch' update)

FYI- Lightroom does not use Adobe Camera Raw. The raw interpreter is 'built-in' to the Lightroom software. ACR is only needed for opening raw files directly in Photoshop.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Nikon Z6 Files in Lightroom.

Will Lightroom Classic CC be able to handle Nikon Z6 RAW files from the date the camera goes on sale - November 2018.  Otherwise how can files be used ? (little point in buying the camera if software is not up to date).  And surely Adobe has had enough warning of this impending camera release ......

Thank you
I have read every sentence and appreciate all of the comments.  However I do feel there is a lock of commitment by Adobe.  Adobe exist because photographers choose to use their software.  If they alienate their customer base by sluggish response to progress on the major hardware front there will be a lot of unhappy photographers

Considering that Nikon ambassadors have been using the new cameras for some considerable time now, together with the new cameras announcements being made last month, and shipping starting at the end of the month (at the earliest), this timescale appears more than sufficient for Adobe to update their software

Apple hold software developers conferences, with independent developers, well ahead of hardware and new OS releases every year.  The example is there for both Nikon and Adobe to follow.  Has any Adobe software in recent years not worked on  the latest iPhone and iOS from day one of the latest release ?

Taking committed devotees for granted is a dangerous assumption

I hope Nikon and Adobe have been working together to avoid these problems, otherwise I cannot work with a camera where RAW files cannot be edited

Then don't buy one until you can edit the raw files - it won't be long. Adobe base raw file support on final production bodies/firmware/lenses, which is even more critical with a brand new product range like this. I don't think anyone would really question your generalisations, but that's all they are. Sometimes the timing / communication works out and a camera is supported on day 1, sometimes there's a delay. Adobe is as quick as any of its competitors, and usually it's only a month or two.

And maybe don't say that you don't trust those "committed devotees" helping you  - no-one owes you an answer, Nick.

LR releases about every 8 weeks.  LR 7.5 came out 8/22, so we'd expect to see LR 7.6 around 10/17. Raw support for new Fuji models appears in the next LR release following the announcement about 75% of the time.  The Fuji X-T3 was announced 9/6, so there's a good chance it will be supported in LR 7.6: Re: Timing of Lightroom releases

Raptor, you need to update to Lr Classic 8.0 (or later).  You're still on Lr 7.5 which was released before the EOS R.

Why can't a company as big as Adobe work proactively with manufacturers to have support for popular cameras at launch? All major App manufacturers do this with Apple or Google anyway - why let customers be majorly inconvenienced whenever they are upgrading to new cameras?

Ramesh, this is not related to company size, but rather to coordination of product schedules across different companies.  We try hard to align our release schedules with the vendors' new products and often have support on "day 1" but things don't always work out.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Photoshop RAW, Add Phase One IQ1-100 Support.

Adobe Camera Raw does NOT work on Phase IQ1-100 back.  It has the same sensor as the IQ3 back and camera raw does recognized those files.  Adobe should simply apply the same raw conversion.  This can be verified by contacting Phase One directly.

Would you guys be uploading lens correction for the newest Sony Xperia XZ series phones (especially XZ1-2-3, which all share same great sensor), this would make me consider a premium lightroom mobile. Would upscale the potential of my photography and plenty other Xperia users.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Camera won't load RAW files onto Lightroom.

Hi Guys...this is regarding Lightroom 6. I was puzzled as to why I could download RAW files from my Canon 5DMkiii but when i tried from my Canon Rebel SL2 the RAW format wasn't recognized. I then realized there is a list of Cameras, but the SL2 wasn't on there. The SL2 has been out for over a year....Does anyone know how long it takes Adobe to ad a camera to the list that will accept RAW files onto Lightroom...Thanks
