Hi, not sure if anyone can help here. But I'm a pro photographer with decades of experience with P.Shop & CameraRaw processing and I'm totally stumped......
I've upgraded one of my bodies to a D810, & as a result ensure that my OS is 10.10.1 then upgraded CS5 (which I've learnt doesn't support the last CameraRaw for the D810 NEF files) to CS6 then I've installed CameraRaw to v8.6 but to get the dreaded "Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered" when trying to open the RAWs, then even tried updating to v8.7 too only to get the same message!...... This is redicoulous & there doesn't seem to be any other solution???

That would indicate your files are damaged or incomplete and cannot be read. This is usually the result of a hardware failure.

You're absolutely right - I have since tried other newer files (shot on another card) which have opened fine since all of my recent updates (thankfully!)....
So I think it was it was perhaps an issue with some early RAW test files (which I was attempting to open) being written to a incorrectly formatted card.
So it appears all is now fine. Many thanks for your reply Jeffrey.

Tomas, unfortunately you will need to wait for the next version of Lightroom or DNG Converter to read the raw files.  In the meantime, you can import and process the JPEG files without requiring a new version.

Your camera is too new for Elements 11.

Please review the Camera Raw plug-in support list for what version of camera raw you need to for the G16, then review the Camera Raw Compatible Applications list to see what version of Elements you need to host that version of camera raw.

Peter, please update to Lightroom 5.7.1.  This is a free update (released in early December 2014) that supports raw files from your new camera.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled E-M5 mark II support.

As the title says. The camera's out now, and I'm sure Olympus has had the RAW format solidified months ago. Adobe, you could've included the format in Lightroom 5.7 but you didn't. So I bought a super-expensive camera, and my RAW files are basically locked. How the flipping heck do I get into my RAW files?

Support these files ASAP.

Erik – I guess that means that we will have to wait for Lr 6..?
Are we talking weeks or months? Any chance I could get into the beta program (it seems like you won't have a public one, this time around and I have a decent amount of beta testing experience and have used Lr since v.3 and Ps since the mid 90's).

Cheers,
Stéphane Jean

Hi Stéphane,

I'm trying to see what I can do to get our support for this model available sooner.  I think that would be the most direct solution to the problem at hand.  I appreciate your offer to help out on beta testing, though.

Thanks,
Eric

Thank you very much for your response Erik, and for trying to speed things up. It's much appreciated!

For what it's worth – from what I've read and seen, excluding the pixel shift mode (which others support), there doesn't seem to be much difference (none?) between the E-M10, and the E-M5 MkII (same sensor and processor)...

Cheers,
Stéphane

Thank you Steve for the information and the download link! I do not really understand how to use this software, I did not see that a new program has been installed on my computer or that Lightroom is supporting the DNG conversion for my Nikon D5500 raw picture. Could you please explain how I can convert the pictures?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled CameraRAW 8.8 update.

I was disappointed that the recent CameraRAW 8.8 update did not include some mobile phones, including the Nokia 1520 which can capture DNG/RAW files, is it possible to see this added in the near future ?

This update to RAW is sorta useless to anyone whose Camera, regardless if on a smart phone or SLR is not supported as it appears that is the whole point of this update to RAW is to add support for devices so RAW can interpolate the data from these cameras more accurately.

Just purchased Nikon D7200 and it's raw files are not supported. Seems strange that the files from my Nikon D4S, a much more expensive camera works but not the D7200. Any idea on when it will be added.

Jon, we're working on Nikon D7200 support and it won't be too long.  Keep in mind that raw files for each camera model need to be individually supported, since their characteristics are different.  So older models like the D4S are already supported, but brand new models like the D7200 will take some extra time and will need to wait for the next version of Camera Raw / Lightroom.  Thanks for your patience.

Hi Jan, you will need to use the (free) DNG Converter to process the .ORF raw files from the E-M5 II into .DNG files, which can then be opened in your Elements 11 software.
