New Olympus om 5 Mkii, i have Lightroom 5.7 but cannot import ORF Raw files which it sees as a blank icon, if i try to import i get message box "files not recognised by raw format support"
Also does not show the Jpeg shots at all so does not import them also. I have checked for updates but i am informed i am up to date

You are up to date for Lightroom 5.x but you need Lightroom 6 for native support. If you don't want to upgrade, you need to convert your raw files to DNG with the free Adobe DNG Converter.  Lightroom 5.7 will recognise those DNG files.

The jpegs probably don't show because you have not told Lightroom to treat these as separate files (in the Lightroom preferences). I'm assuming you are talking about raw+jpeg shoots.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Olympus TG-5 ORF Files not supported.

When trying to convert a folder of .ORF files from new Olympus Tough TG-5 camera, Adobe DNG converter says, "The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files". Photos will not open at all in photoshop without being converted. When can the TG-5 files start being supported? Adobe rep on the phone said the update will take months. I know the TG-5 is brand new but even still- "months" seems a bit long considering the TG-4 .ORF files are already supported in the DNG converter so this should be a relatively easy update. Plus- it's the beginning of summer- prime time for some wonderful underwater shooting :)

PS and ACR do not support this camer (Nikon D7500). I cannot process NEF files. I have spent a great deal of money and cannot use what I pay a monthly fee to have available. It has been known for months that these cameras were coming out. When will they be supported?

HI, I will be purchasing a C200 in the next few months and wondered if it could be possible to grade the Canon Cinema Raw in LR then have that colour/meta data move over to my timeline in Premiere Pro ( where the format will be supported). The controls in Premiere are good I simple prefer some of the film emulations I have available to me in LR

When should we expect support for the new Nikon D7500? Its a great camera, and I love this softward and would rather stay away from work arounds to make it all work together.

I have tried to find the update but can not get an update. Does adobe have an update for CS3 and a newer Olympus camera.

Hello Everyone,   If I might chime in for a second:

If there is a new camera that you don't think was included as a file format in your converter, the DNG converter should handle that.  It's an add-on, but it is very worth the time to add it.   I have a list of camera file formats, but since there are at least 3 new camera file formats being developed each day, it's tough to keep up.   Each one needs to be included in a converter or three.   Please have patience.

Hi There,

I would like to know when Lightroom will be updated to work the RAW/NEF files produced by the upcoming Nikon D850.

Does anyone have information about this?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Nikon D850 Lightroom Support?.

Photo Rumors today has a post about Lightroom 7 possibly being announced at Adobe Max next month. I'm guessing that means an update to Lightroom CC too. It is also appearing that we will not get Lightroom support for the Nikon D850 until then. Hmmm. That means a wait of approximately 6 weeks between camera availability and Lightroom support (yes, I know ACR has been updated; that requires the annoying dng work around). I know that Adobe folks are working hard to get Lightroom to run faster (yea), but why does that mean that D850 support has to be delayed?

Don't get too optimistic. Even NIKON software (admittedly not worldclass) takes ages to convert D850 files.

When is Lightroom going to recognize NEF files from the Nikon D850? This is really screwing up my workflow. Even ON1 PhotoRaw 2018 recognizes them. The camera has been out for about a month.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lack of Sony A7RIII support.

I just got delivery of my brand new Sony A7RIII...just to find out that it's not supported by any of Adobe programs. This is really a shame as both Capture One and ON1 do support this new camera.
This means that we will be forced to test either or both those applications with a consequent disrupt of our working flow...plus the risk (for Adobe) that we may like them so much that we'll never come back. I think this is very bad and..."not so smart" on Adobe's part. I would never ever let any of my customers take a taste of my competitors'work, it's like Marketing #1 rule.
I always defend Adobe on the more and more frequent attacks on many Photography forums because of their subscription policy, but now...you may be losing a very faithful and very long-time established professional customer.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lack of RAW support for Sony A7 RIII - part 2.

This is a follow-up of my first post.
I'm writing again because my first post thread was closed by Rick Spaulding after he gave what is in fact a totally wrong suggestion, i.e. to use DNG converter...obviously that one is not updated either and will not recognize the Sony A7RIII raw files.
So the question still stands: when will it be available and why do Capture One and ON1 have it already? Does Adobe really want to push their faithful customers into their competitors' arms?

Hello,

I apologize for the DNG convertor suggestion. My mistake.

It's not that I closed your first post, it's just that I merged it with this one which addresses similar issues.

I can tell you that we will have a release in December that will solve your problem. I'm sorry for the delay. We are working to get the next release out as quickly as possible.

Thank you for any amount of patience you can spare.

I am really disappointed. The ARW-files of my new Sony A7R Mark III are not supported by Lightroom, Photoshop or DNG-Converter. Affinity and Capture One are supporting the new format. So why is Adobe, again, not able to fix the problem immediately?
