Question to Ron Malone-
Did you convert your camera files using the DNG converter before trying to open (or import in Lightroom) the DNG versions?
The {DNG Converter} is not a plug-in for any version of Photoshop. It is a stand-alone program that does the conversion from raw to DNG. Then you open the DNG files in Photoshop.

CS5 is only compatible with ACR v6.7 and nothing higher. You cannot update to ACR 9.7 what-so-ever. https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
Your only options are-
1. Subscribe and upgrade to PS-CC2015.5  with the Adobe Photography Creative Cloud plan.
2. Convert your files with DNG Converter.

I'm a dunce when it comes to how software works. I'm just a user. I've always been able to open RAW photos taken with my Canon 7D in my Photoshop CS5,  but with my new Canon 5D Mark IV, when I try to open a RAW photo I get the error message "Could not complete your request because the file apperas to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw."  If you're kind enough to respond, please keep in mind my first sentence. I need simple "how to" instructions. Thanks! (BTW, I did install the Canon EOS Digital Solutions Disk that came with the camera.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled X-T2 RAF raw files (Fujifilm) not readable in CS6..

I am upset - As a photographer I do all of my edits in the creative suite. A couple of years ago that was a huge investment. I recently switched from Canon to Fuji (x t1) and had serious problems opening their raf-raw files with CS6. That was rectified with a Camera Raw update. Now I have bought the X t2 and the same thing is happening. Why??When is an update coming that does not force me to download Photoshop in the Cloud? I work on lots of photographs and need that update so that the X t2's raf files can be read bij camera raw. Are there any solutions you have to offer?I downloaded all recent updates. 7.9 for raw however does not work with my CS6 (13.0.6). Update 9.1.1. also does not do the trick.I urgently need to work on the results of a shoot I did yesterday - any ideas? For lack of other options I have downloaded the trial for CC and it works there, it is just that I am forced to do all edits one by one and not as I usually do in batched. That is a pain in the behind and will take me all day, but at least I can revert to JPGs.If the updates are not coming soon can you tell me if I can use CC and do it on a monthly basis? As soon as the CS6 update comes out, I want to leave the cloud. I do not want to be forced to use it!I hope to hear back soon.If you have a phone # I am happy to give you a call so we can discuss.

It seems only one option remains for you-
Convert your RAF files to the raw DNG format with the FREE Adobe DNG Converter.
DNG raw files will be compatible with most all Photoshop and Lightroom versions.
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html

There will never be an update to CS6, Photoshop is now only -Creative Cloud.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled RAW support for Fujifilm X-A3.

Adobe usually has quick updates when it comes to new cameras so I assumed (which in a way is my fault for assuming) that it has already RAW support for my wife's Fujifilm X-A3. Most of the photos are in RAW and we can't print/post the photos to our friends and family. Hopefully an update will come soon.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled OM-D E-M1 Mark II Hi Resolution.

I am unable to get Lightroom CC to recognize the new OM-D E-M1 Mark II hi resolution (60-80Mb raw (ORF) files and understand that the current iteration of LR CC (or ACR) doesn't yet support.  Is this support in the works and would appreciate some insight as to when this support would be a part of LR CC.  Sorely needed as the only way that the files can be seen is with Olympus Viewer 3 and then export to LR or PS as a huge, huge TIFF.  Not good !!  Even if it first came out as part of the DNG converter that would be a huge help if not immediately a part of LR.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Feature Request: Support of DJI Mavic in Lightroom/CameraRaw.

Could you please add the camera of the quadcopter aka drone "DJI Mavic Pro" to your Software?

The embeded profile from the DJI just corrects vinetting. No camera profile settings (for color grading) and also no lens profile included.

The camera has even a pink distursion around the center of the picture, which is not corrected by the build in camera-profile in the DNG.

Many people just bought a DJI Mavic for photography. Please add this a supported device to the next version.

Direct your "No Praise" toward Canon! They are responsible for changing the raw file structure with every new camera model. Adobe does all possible with upgrades to enable new camera compatibility.

Upgrade to v6.7 !

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Camera RAW for Nikon D5600 – For PS CS6 - Failed – Please help.

Hi all.

Have tried to update the RAW (NEF) for Nikon D5600. All
attempts have failed.

Have updated PS CS6,

Used, CameraRaw_9...zip, used setup.zip
(swupdl.adobe.com)

The current RAW ver. on PS is 9.1.1.461... PS ver.13.0.1
x32.

In PS I get message ... Update failed...Updates could not
be applied...

log says...

Photoshop Camera Raw 9.0(CS6)

Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

All raw and jpgs have been transferred from camera to
computer.

When I try to open Raw file I get message...Cannot open
this file.

All other files open correctly - no other problems in PS.

Computer (2016 build) all drivers are up to date.
running: Window 10 - computer is running at optimum health - No other issues.

I am really not sure how to proceed from here - can
anyone help me on this
issue.

Many thanks - Theo
