Using Photoshop CS5. Why is that after I resize a picture and crop it, it goes really big on my screen? I've tried ticking and unticking the resample size box and it still does the same thing - it goes all big after I make changes to it. Thanks!!!

Usually that happens because you entered a resolution value and told Photoshop to create a huge document -- then forgot about entering the resolution value.

Hmmm...I'm really sorry to be a pain, but could you please give me step-by-step instructions?
So I open the picture for the first time, and the image size box shows me a resolution of 72dpi and a size of 57in x 32 in. The resample box, scale styles and constrain proportions boxes are all ticked.
I'd like to print a 5x7 pic in 300 dpi. Can you pls walk me through the process? Thank you so very much

Look at all the options for the crop tool (including the resolution field!). You set it to create a huge image, not what you wanted.
