After importing from a CF card, I try to watch a video file. The sound plays for a few seconds, but no video. Then LR4 crashes.

Which OS version are you running? What type of video file is it? Does it happen with all your video files, or just the one?

Yes, I'm in the same boat as Michael. And for me they are also MOV files from a Canon 5d Mark II.

The same applies to me! Adobe don ́t seem to have a solution yet - I already chatted with a representative about the issue and they couldn ́t help me...

It'll be codec related. 5D files are h.264. Try installing Quicktime for windows, does that help?

both 7D and 5D are h.264. QT will come with a h264 codec that will play native MPEG4 files without having to get involved with xvid or any of the other re wrapping components
