Lightroom: Why does Lightroom 3.6 freeze when I try to export photos?

I'm running Win7, 8GB RAM. I just purchased, installed and upgraded to 3.6. Every time I attempt to export Lightroom freezes. I am attempting to export from the library as a .jpg. Earlier I was given the popup screen to set my presets but I no longer receive this. I can export to DNG and email but that requires me to open the file in another program or use a much smaller file.
Hlep!
Thanks

I assume you export to DNG and email using the context menu, since the export dialog box is not coming up, is that correct? I assume you have the problem when clicking the 'Export' button next to the 'Import' button - also correct?

Correct. It does not matter if I use the drop down menu (File) or the export menu button on the library page. I had a 3rd party set of presets and I deleted those to no avail. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled LR 3.5 which then upgraded to 3.6.

I dunno - maybe better to wait for somebody who knows more to chime in.

If you want to try something before then, try deleting your preference file (or rename it). After you see if it helps or not you may want to rename it back (after exiting Lightroom, so you don't lose all your preferences - its just to test to see if there is something in there not being liked.
