Why an Adobe ID ?

I'm about to install a purchased copy of Adobe PE 9 on my wife's computer. I am not an Adobe user nor am I interested in becoming one.

This installation will not be spread across multiple computers, will not use your online 'storage', will not be used to inteface with facebook or any other so-called 'social media'.

We are not interested in upgrading or buying ANY other adobe products - just to use the program on a single computer.

Please tell me why I 'need' an "Adobe ID" at all.

By the way, I made a mistake in my previous post when I allowed you to 'share my email address on Adobe Family'. You may NOT do that. Please remove my email address from being 'shared'. Persons in your employ who respond to this topic should not need my email address - after all, I don't need YOURS, do I?

John.

For one, an AdobeID will help you get technical support, on forums like this. It can also keep all your current/future Adobe products registered in one place.

There really isn't any harm in obtaining an AdobeID. You aren't required to pay for an ID, nor does it force you to purchase any additional products.
