Why is the "Show Selected Mask Overlay" not in the right panel where it belongs?

Since the beginning of time, the bar under the big image has had two misplaced controls. The edit pin selection doesn't bother me, but I've always wanted the check box to display the mask overlay near the adjustment brush. I know about hitting the "O" key. Both involve large movements that waste time. Now I have LR Classic CC and it's still in that silly place.

I do agree they'd be better in the panel rather than the toolbar, and that design decision could easily carry over to LRCC now too. They're a little cautious about making UI changes in Classic, because people complain when they do!

Thanks for the "me too".

I just bought a new car. It works differently than my old car. It has "improvements". They made UI changes to the head unit. Gosh, I'm sure somebody complained. The car companies hire staff to ignore whiners. Remember when the high-beam switch was on the floorboard? Some genius designer moved it to a stalk on the steering column. Now we have 4-5 multi-purpose stalks that control the entire car [ever try to control a computer w/ a stalk?]. I'm sure people complained and were "handled".

One characteristic [bad] of humans is that we dislike changes, especially when they appear to be giving up ground won. We would rather stick with old [bad] decisions than try to progress. There are hundreds of examples, but Kodak is at the top. Adobe may be farther down the list, but they are clawing their way up... :-(
