Photoshop CC: Running so slowly (Win 7/64bit)

Why is my Photoshop CC running so slow?
Every time I use any tool (such as filling something a certain colour or placing a file) it takes a good 10 seconds each time to complete.
My specs:
Windows 7 64Bit Home Premium
CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 Quad Core OC'd @ 4Ghz
GPU: EVGA GTX 770
RAM: 12GB Corsair Vengeance

Try restoring your preferences: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

If you do restore your prefs, please save a copy of your existing prefs in case they turn out to be the culprit. Having the bad prefs can sometimes help us track down the issue.
