Lightroom Classic: Where is the history module?

WHY is the history module not included in the new Lightroom CC or LIghtroom CC classic? I'm baffled. I am a professional photographer and use lightroom constantly, and have for the past 12 years. The history module feature is so important to my workflow. I do not understand why they would take it out. I talked with customer service and they just told me it wasn't available anymore and I should write here. Is there no way to have it with the updated version of lightroom?

?? It's there for me. In develop, right click on one of the categories like Snapshots or presets and see if History is not highlighted.

I have not updated my LIghtroom classic yet because they take the Edit module out. I just spoke with a representative and he said " There is no way to have the edit hisotry module in the new updated lightroom classic and lightroom CC"

Your support agent was incorrect. Lightroom Classic continues to have a History Panel.

My Adobe representative was incorrect? The newest Classic Lightroom that can be updated has a history Module?

This was one of the strongest features in the Development module. I teach Lightroom but do not have the latest upgrade. I would call on Lightroom to rethink this. Can you tell me which version you have. I will not upgrade to it or encourage my students to do so.

I just spoke with a representative about the new updated lightrooms and he said  "There is no way to have the edit hisotry module in the new updated lightroom classic and lightroom CC". He told me to write a complaint here. I asked to talk to a manager or some place I could formally voice my opinion on this and he never wrote back.

I have not updated my LIghtroom classic yet because they new one takes the Edit module out. I'm still running on the lightroom CC 2015 because of this. I'm so frustrated because the History module is so important. I feel they are putting too much effort into the "Cloud" functionality and loosing some of their core product offerings.

Your support agent is not correct. The history module was never removed and still exists in the current version of Lightroom Classic. Please see my response below.

All versions of Lightroom have the Develop module/Edit Mode.

History has never been in Lightroom Desktop (Currently Version 2.2.1)
History has never been removed from Lightroom Classic (Currently 8.2.1)

So, in answer to the title question. It hasn't been removed. If you aren't seeing it, make sure you are in the Develop Module by hitting [ D ].
It will be in the Left hand set of panels. If you don't see it then right-click on a panel header and make sure it is checked.

I am very relieved if this is true. Thank you for getting back to me. The customer service "Help chat" has been horrible and not helpful at all.

He is continuing to insist that is doesn't exist in the new one, yet I trust your reply much more as this conversation with the customer service rep has been awful.
Thank you.

Lightroom Desktop (Currently Version 2.2.1) - Never had History

Lightroom Classic (Currently 8.2.1) - Has always had history.

I just updated the Classic and it does still have the History panel, the customer service representative I talked to was incorrect. Thank you for clarifying. Is there a way I can delete or edit this so It doesn't confuse people?

First there never was and still isn't a History Module in LR Classic, the traditional version of LR.
There is a History section of the left hand side panel of the Develop Module.
If you aren't seeing it Right Click on one of the other headers and select History.
I have no idea about LR CC, the cloud centric version.

I can't imagine how even the least experienced Adobe representative could not know this.  It's just a couple of clicks and there it is.  I suspect that "language" may have gotten in the way as many Adobe reps are not native English speakers.  For example a "History Module" is not the same as a "History Panel" and an "Edit panel" may not be interpreted as a "History Panel".  It may also be the case that\ due to the absurd Decision Adobe made about the naming of "LR CC" and "LR Classic CC", it is quite easy to think someone is talking about one when indeed they are talking about the other.  How often in this forum have people complained about something in "Lightroom CC" while providing a screen shot from "Lightroom Classic CC"
