Why does my Elements 13 keep re-setting itself to the quick mode every time I go away for a couple of minutes? This is a new behaviour; it used to work fine.

Hi Susannah,

Thanks for posting the issue you are facing. Can you elaborate it further? What system configuration you are using? Does it happen while you are using the PSE application or does it happen on next launch (after closing the application)?

Regards,
Mayank

It happens whenever I stop working for more than a couple of minutes, even though the program is still open and I haven't changed photos. I stop to look at a photo and think about a crop, and it switches to Quick while I'm thinking. It never did that before; what has happened?

Hi Susannah,

In which room you were working (Quick/Guided/Expert)?

Please share your system information like-
System make (manufacturer)
Operating System (Windows or Mac with version)
RAM
PSE version/build (can be found under Help Menu-> System info)

Is this issue 100% time reproducible? It would be helpful for us if you can share a video of this.

Please share the required information so that we can resolve your issue.

Regards,
Mayank

I'm working in Expert, as usual. My computer is a new lenovo, using Windows 10, Adobe Photoshop Elements Version: 13.0 Version: 6.3
Free memory: 3733 MB
Memory available to Photoshop Elements: 6991 MB
Memory used by Photoshop Elements: 70 %

It just started doing this today. Up until now, working with Elements for several years, it's been fine.

Hi Susannah,

Please try the following steps:

1. Close Photoshop elements (if running)
2. Go to %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\13.0   (or C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\13.0)
3. Rename Editor folder to Editor_old.
4. Relaunch PSE.

Please let me know if issue persists.

Regards,
Mayank
