Photoshop: Why are my pictures appearing grainy in Photoshop but not in Camera Raw?

Zoom in to 100% or 1:1. Do they look the same, now? If so then the difference is how the software is resampling for the reduced-size screen view, where one might be using software to do the resampling and the other might be using the video driver to do it. It doesn't matter that they look different because something that's not 1:1 or 100% zoom isn't an accurate representation of the pixels, anyway.

If this doesn't explain what you're seeing then attach a side-by-side screenshot of the view in PS and the view in ACR.
