Photoshop saving images to a place we don't want it to save

When you are saving images that you have worked on in Photoshop it a-signes them to a folder inside Library > Caches > Temporaryitems. You then have to remember to drag them out of this folder before you restart the machine as the cache folder is cleared and your work will be lost??? can any one help.

Um, no, that's not what Photoshop does at all.

Photoshop offers you a save dialog and lets you choose where the file will be saved (defaulting back to the location of the document opened or the last saved folder you saved to).

The only thing that gets saved in TemporaryItems are Smart Objects that you are editing inside a parent document (because the files are temporary).
