Why can I not print the border I select for my photo? am in custom package, photo border is checked, the border shows in the window, the right printer is selected and even when I do the jpeg file option to send to my outside printer the border does not print out.

Which product are you using?

And what does saving a JPEG have to do with printing?

What do you mean "outside printer"?

Chris,
I am using Lightroom 3. This is my first time asking question in this program. In lightroom 3 you may chose to either print to a printer or create a jpeg you may save for sending to an outside printer. The border does not show up in either option. An "outside printer" in this case means a firm that is to print Xmas cards for me.

Hmm. What color is your border? I just tried with a black border and it printed to JPEG fine.

Strange. Have you tried other colors?

I am in Custom Package and you cannot select another color for the border only for the Inner Stroke. My photo is black and white.

Yes in that it does print out the area of the border with a thin cut guide but what I thought I would have in my scenario was a white border with a significant line on the outside edge of the border. Test it yourself. In the custom package check and create a border without the cut guides. You will see that the line for the border is there but it will not print. it appears to be a bolder line that the cut line. If as you suggest I check the cut guides I do get lines on the outside of the border both in lightroom and in the jpeg file but it does not print as a significant outside line of the border.

John, what you see is not a border but the line the defies the edge in Lightroom. Borders are around the image only.
