When will Adobe create a lens profile for Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX II?

Thanks for the request. If you need support for a specific lens, you can create your own lens profiles with the Adobe Lens Profile Creator or you can download user-contributed profile for that lenses through the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader.

I've already downloaded both things you mentioned.

I reviewed the Creator doc and I could do everything required but when I'm done how I would know that I've created a good profile? It looks like there are many chances to create a profile that's less than perfect. That's why I'm hesitant to use that solution.

Downloader doesn't list what I need.

What are the chances that Adobe would create one?

Depends on the availability of the lens. We don't have the resources to do every lens under the sun. If the lens is really popular and we can get our hands on one, then we can usually make one.

Calvin - 3 ways to tell if you've got a good one:

1. If lens vignetting is corrected without "moustaching", and there's no residual chromatic aberration, and straight lines are straight, then you made a good one.

2. Upload for others to use - people will tell you if you made a lemon ;-}

3. DxO optics supports this lens, so you could always compare using that. Warning: DxO's lens correction is sometimes better than Adobe's for some lenses, so you may not be ability to achieve parity.

Not sure how difficult it will be to tweak the profile so that it can be used for your camera but in principle you could use the lens profile for the Pentax smc -DA 12-24mm F4 ED AL [IF].

Optically, it is the same lens as yours.
