Which product are you using?
Which version?
Which OS version?

Exactly how are you comparing file sizes?

I am using Lightroom 5.5 with Windows 7
one of the files for instance starts as a dng of 13.6 mb and ends up saved as
1.41 mb.
I also have created a new problem---on the export dialog box, it now shows a typical
save formet as jpeg. I want to save as a TIFF and save to the original folder
thanks for your help
Phil

What file format are you starting with?
What file format are you exporting to, with what compression options?

I am starting with RAW and it converts to DNG when I import.
I am trying to export in TIFF and with no compression\\
everything was working fine until a couple of days ago when it all went bad.
I did inadvertantly label one file as tif so when it was saved it showed the tile
name and then the extensio as tif.tif would this have caused a problem?
