When exporting images through Lightroom, EXIF/XMP metadata is corrupted and not readable in Indesign (for Captions).

EXIF data appears to be removed or corrupted when exporting images from lightroom to jpeg.

If I load images direct from my camera, then Indesign can read metadata for live captions. If I export the same image from Lightroom, the metadata can no longer be read by Indesign.

I can fix the data by running the exported images through exiftool. After running through exiftool, I can see in the binary of the jpeg file that the XMP contains EXIF data, which is missing from the Lightroom exported file.

What camera? file type? What is live caption?

What field is not working in Indesign?

What command do you run in Exiftool?

Can you post a sample file (out of camera)?
