Lightroom 5: When Auto Importing with Eye Fi card, new photos aren't added to live slide show

I'm using an Eye Fi card to auto import images into LR5. It works perfectly, I have set a watched folder and then LR moves the photo to my main picture folder and it shows up in seconds.

I tried to create a "live slideshow" where you take a shot, and when it's imported it is added to a rotating set of images and is displayed. (sort of like a live photobooth)

It works when tethering with a cable and DSLR but when using the Eye Fi and auto import, the slide show won't display any new images. They are there in the film strip, but they don't get added to the show in real time.

I have "all photographs" picked and "all filmstrip photos" chosen also.

can anyone help or is this just a straight bug?

Lr5 slideshow prepares all slides in advance - dynamic incorporation of new photos is not supported.

Plugin-workaround:
------------------------
ShowBiz will auto-incorporate new slides - just make sure you are importing with 1:1 previews enabled, or standard if those would be good enough (e.g. not true full-screen mode).

Note: ShowBiz (@2014-01-07) does not support transitions or music... - it's just a timed sequencer... - that could change in the future.

Hi rpavich,

I guess there was some problem and rather than solving in robust fashion Adobe decided to punt (take the easy way out) - but I'm really just guessing.

Yeah, Adobe obviously isn't trying too hard to robusten Lightroom, dunno if it's due to difficult economic times or the product is just not enough of a money maker... - perhaps time will tell..
