The 7D Mkii isn't on the list of cameras supported. When might it be added? Its a very important feature.

Dunno. - it's not uncommon for tethering support to lag raw file support, but typically not by more than two or three release cycles..

Maybe somebody else will have a better estimate..

For the mean time, you can use some other tethering software in conjunction with auto-import in Lr.

Adobe adds tethering when they feel like it. Sometimes it takes a year, sometimes just a few months. The camera's been out since the end of October and the SDK had 7D2 tethering added to it mid-November so any release after the current one could have it.

The other part of your question assumes that LR is part of CC. It is not so there isn't a CC version that gets updated sooner than a non-CC version. The only CC relationship LR has is if you have CC then you can use LR-Mobile synced though the Adobe cloud. It is also bundled with PS-CC for a cheaper single-CC-app price, but the functionality is the same, and only the licensing is different--serial-number vs CC-login licensing.

It may be that LR6, probably due out later this year, will have a different relationship to CC but no one who would know can say and Adobe typically does not preannounce features or changes until they are ready.
