selections of images needs improvement? I would like to draw a box around images I want to select, rather than having to touch each one. If I have a hundred Images and I want only to select 40, whats the best way?

Hi Peter,
Are you using Lightroom CC or Lightroom Classic CC?
A general approach and the easiest one is to use the SHIFT key for selection. Once you're in the grid view, you can click on any of the thumbnails and use the usual keyboard short cut such as CMD-A / CTRL-A to select all, click and holding down SHIFT to select consecutive images, or hold down the CMD / CTRL keys while selecting non-consecutive photos.
In Lightroom Classic CC, you could have the index number to show on each image thumbnail that'll help you make selection even easier.
To do so, choose View>View options and under compact cell extras check "Index number".

Hope that helps.

I’m using Lightroom CC on an iPad Pro. I would LOVE an easy way to select multiple images. Using the Magic Keyboard ,CMD-A or Shift Select would be sooooooo nice!

You can multiple images, but it depends on what you want to do with them. For example, you can select multiple to copy to a collection, but not to sync edits.

It's just a little counter-intuitive. In desktop software like Lightroom Classic, you first select multiple images, and then perform the action such as choosing the export menu. In Lightroom CC (Mobile) in grid view you first tap the Share icon, and then you select the (multiple) images you want to share.

Try swiping your finger along a group of thumbnails. After weeks of individually selecting images I discovered this!

You can select a range of photos after picking an action.
Let’s say you want to move some photos to another collection.
1) In grid view click ... top right and pick the action. “Move”
Long press (1 second, but don’t hard press on iPhone 7 and up) on the first photo in the range and a menu will pop up.
2 Pick from either, select all, deselect all, or in your case select range.
3 Tap on last photo you want and LRM will select all the photos in the range for you.
Only seems to work with the actions in the “...” list thou..
