. My Macbook pro 17 got stolen with almost 1.5 terabyte photos - and also the 2tb backup external. I got back the Mac, but with all data deleted in the trash - but probably not safe deleted since that button was not ticket. Most of 5 years of editing 210.000 travel photos in Lightroom is lost and tens of thousand photos are without further backup - lost. What program if any can undo the damage and recover the photos with the filenames given in LR and the folder tree intact, so that LR can find them again?
Can Data Rescue 3 do this? i read that Mac deletes the filenames when emptying the trash - how great of Mac. Should I give up photography - no money in travel stock photography anyway anymore and I knew that sooner or later all work done in LR will be lost since the images are kept on Mars and the work on Venus.
I have not used the Mac since I got it back, so no deleted data should be overwritten.
Im amazed there is no one else with this situation in the search.
I will be most grateful for any career saving advice.
