Photoshop: What is a psd file?

I am cropping a picture adding some text and saving it. It saves as as file and I cant open it at samsclub.com to order a print. What can I do?

PSD is the Photoshop file format, that supports almost all the things that Photoshop can work with (PSD can't go over 2 Gig, or 30,000 pixels in either dimension - that would require PSB format).

Sams Club probably only reads JPEG, TIFF, and maybe PNG.
Check what file formats they support, then save out a copy of your document in a format that they can read.
