TO WHOEVER MOVED THIS LAST TIME: IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NEW IMPORT DIALOG. IT IS ABOUT BUGS (AND LOTS OF THEM). ONLY REASON TO MERGE WITH AN IMPORT DIALOG THREAD IS TO HIDE IT. I AM LOOKING FOR ANSWERS NOT TO HAVE MY POST HIDDEN INAPPROPRIATELY.

The Post:
1. In thumbnail previrem grab scroll bar slier with mouse and move is and ... nothing happens thumbnails all stay put. Use mouse wheel and they scroll but scroll bar slider does nothing.

2. Lightroom file> About Lightroom, read version and press "done" and nothing happens. You have to exit and re-run. But Lightroom no longer exists so you have to "Force Quit" and because you've switched catalogue, re-starts with wrong catalog so you have to switch again ... and all because you did a File>About.

3. Jump to full screen with the Mac window baller maximise and you are stuck there - ("F" and Shift+"F" have no effect (you get a display text about using Shift+"F" but it does nothing). Use Shift+F to go full screen and all works file but the window title bar maximise and you are sunk (and even get the dock to reappear a lot of the time.

4. Scroll bars in the left and right side panes don't work most of the time when using a mouse wheel. Centre preview (image/thumbnail) window area scrolls fine but not the sidebars (around 50% of the time. You have to exit and re-run. But of course Lightroom does not like exiting so you have to force quit ....

5. In Library module, click to right of Keyword (on the right arrow that appears to filter to pics with that keyword and pop-up displays new filter but preview thumbnails all stay there - no filtering what so ever!! Occasionally it does work, most of the time not.

etc., etc.

This is a disaster beyond belief. 6 has been out for some time now and it is a worst nightmare to use. Productivity plummeted, frustration gone through the roof.

Any ideas ?

Did these issues start with 6.2.1? The answer is the same. Changes causing issues are being reverted, so your best bet is to roll back to 6.1.1 until the update is released.

Unsure. I've managed to un-install and re-install 6.0 (it takes sometime as I'm in the UK and we have to endure British Telecom ADSL (rural) speeds real slow and loss of line normally at least every hour - so it's try and try and try and try again and again and again to try and get a complete download.

Looks better in 6.0 but wont be able to test fully until tomorrow (when I'll be back with external mouse. Certainly the maximise to full screen from window title bar and Shift-F - whilst does not work as Abobe say, you can at least put the mouse at the top os screen and get the menu bar back and "normalise" so it's not locking you out and thus is usable and nothing I'd kick-up about.

Report further hopefully tomorrow (BT ADSL obliging - which is a "long shot")
