I am totally confused by all the changes without notice.  There are way to many changes and its a big learning curve I am not happy about.  I have not idea where all my images have gone to.  I had thousands and now only 116.  It looks like I have to start all over or find another way to edit pictures and know that they will be safe.  It looks like you have made lightroom for beginners who do not shot a lot or care about saving them is same kind of order. It looks like using hash tags is a thing of the past.  All my photos are gone.  What have you done????

Lee, we need more details on what application you're using and on what platforms (desktop, tablet, phone). What specific Adobe application version were you using previously, for example Lightroom Classic 7.4? What specific Adobe application are you using now and how did you obtain it?

Are you trying to use Lightroom CC, the newer cloud-based product with less functionality so far, but expect the functionality of Lightroom Classic CC Desktop?

LR Classic CC Desktop uses a local disk-based catalog to store updates as LR has in the past.

LR CC uses the Adobe cloud and the photos from the desktop don't automatically go to the cloud.

Your photos may not be lost but we need more information about what you're doing and what products you're using to give precise advice.
