What's wrong with using transform? Option of level in there and its a one click process.

You could do it via the Upright in Transform panel as Steve suggested. You can also invoke a gesture via the Crop tool.

1. Activate the Crop tool
2. Hold the SHIFT modifier key down, double click on the "Angle" label or the thumb of the same named slider. This will invoke the same auto Level code in Upright to auto straighten the photo.

To straighten a batch of photos quickly:

1. Edit the first photo in Develop.

2. In the Transform panel, click Auto, Level, Vertical, or Full.

3. Click Copy...

4. In the Copy settings window, click Check None and then just Upright Mode:

5. Select the other 499 photos in the film strip and click Paste.

Alternatively, use Sync to copy the Upright Mode to the batch. Or define a preset with the desired Upright Mode.
