Photoshop CS6: wasted trial

Been trying to use CS6 trial ........... wasted days trying to get it to open at all (on brand new, uncluttered, super fast computer) .............. now all but given up because can't access layers properly (surely the whole point of it?) because opening one image is ok, but opening a second a) sits right over the original (however diminished or positioned) & b) doesn't show in the layers palette.
Had fondly imagined that £650 would entitle you to expect trouble-free, all singing & dancing, but seems must look elsewhere for that

And of course the "help" online or 'phone is non-existent, shuffling you round the world from one dept to another, interminable delay, cut-offs, or you referred to this forum. Bloody hopeless.

Disillusioned

Photoshop CS6 is working well for millions of people, but it sounds like your new system has a few problems yet to be worked out.

Either you're describing tabbed images, or a messed up video card driver - but you don't give enough details to figure that out.

And what prevented you from launching Photoshop at first?

Like Mr.Cox has pointed out what you describe (without giving relevant info like OS etc.) sounds like fairly uncommon problems.
Edit: Though if it’s about tabs and application frame those features probably have thrown a lot of people that either left out the versions where those were introduced or did not bother with reading the »What’s new«-section of the help for the respective versions.

And what does »doesn't show in the layers palette« mean exactly?

Do you have any experience with previous versions?
