I got an email about this product offering for me to look around. I signed in. I wasn't even sure I had the right sign in. It instantly download some stuff from my element program. I had scanned in some medical records as jpegs(not computer savvy). I tried to delete them and it says it is going to remove them from all devices. I want them left where they were on my computer! I did a test sheet that did not have as important info. And it deleted it from MY computer! How do I remove this stuff from Revel and not my Element program on my computer?? You would think it would warn you it was going to download files and get your permission. My intent was to just look around and see if it was something I was interested in.

The two ways you can get an account for Revel is if we created an account for you as a part of our transition from Photoshop.com to Revel (We would have migrated your Photoshop.com files if you had any and did not tell us not to migrate them by opting out) , or if you created an account yourself and uploaded files.

Elements 11 and Lightroom have the ability to communicate with Revel to add files, but it is not automatic. You have to set it up purposely.

I am guessing you may have had an older version of Elements installed on your computer that was set up to sync automatically with Photoshop.com, and that your medical record jpgs were added there with the sync, and then migrated to Revel.

When you add files to Revel, they are not removed from your hard drive. Since Revel is a cloud service, they are stored there in addition to wherever you loaded them from. If you delete a file in Revel, it is deleted from the cloud, and therefore can not be viewed anymore through Revel on any computer or device.

Here are some helpful links where you can read about Revel:

I hope this helps.

Please clarify for me -- I want to delete from revel some photos that are up there now -- uploaded from a previous version of Elements -- can I remove them from revel and will they continue to be on my desktop? I don't want to permanently delete all of these photos from my desktop - I just want to delete them from revel.
When I did delete a couple of pictures that I knew I had a copy elsewhere, they did seem to disappear from my desktop. Am I doing something incorrectly to preserve those photos on my desktop but still have them gone from revel? I wanted to clean up the revel before I install Elements 11 - which I 've had for a few months already . . .
