Hi Kukurykus

I have seen this document before, is there any particular part of it that gives information on 32/64 Bit issues?

Should work fine on a 64-bit OS/processor

Hi Jeffrey

It is quite strange both my laptop and PC are 64 bit WIN 10 pro machines, the scripts will work on CC 2019 which is now only 64 bit on my PC, but not on my laptop, I have had to download CC 2018 32 bit version on my laptop to get it to work??

I would check to see what your script app is running at. My guess is you are running in 32 bit mode for some reason and it can't talk to the 64 bit app. I have some scripts I use to run 32 bit command line to talk to 32 bit mode PS and 64 bit (normal) to talk to 64 bit. I forget the trick off the top of my head but will dig up my script(s).

I have since bought a new laptop, WIN 10 Pro - 64 bit and the scripts are running against CC 2019 satisfactorily. Not sure what the issue was with my old laptop?? It was a WIN 7 upgraded to WIN 10.

Did you find out how you sorted the problem, would be interested to know what you did.

I have not written anything in VB since I want my scripts to be cross-platform but ExtendScript works fine with 64-bit Windows. Note that ExtendScript Toolkit is still 32-bit on both platforms, which Adobe will need to correct soon.

I hope they will, as I heard they ceased enhancing ESTK.
