Lightroom 5: Viewing video files causes CPU to spike 700%

I recently upgraded to LR5 and PS CC and now when I try and play a video file the cpu usage goes above 700% and the UI is unusable and unresponsive. I'm not sure the video file type matters but it's from a 5D Mk III.

The process that goes nuts is the dynamicmediaserver process.

The first time I imported the files it also seemed to be processing those files and I couldn't edit the RAW files either. I've already tried everything listed in:

and none of those help at all.

I'm running on a MacBook Pro 2012 16GB RAM OX 10.8.5.

I didn't have these issues with videos under LR4.
