Viewing and culling in Lightroom could be way faster...

Hi, I hoped that with Lightroom 6 the viewing and culling of raw's will be improved and finally get as fast as for example Photo Mechanic does. But as it seems Lightroom still doesn't read the embedded previews. I think this should be implemented because you loose so much time when culling photos from 3.000 raws which is the normal number for a wedding coverage. Of course I could render 1:1-previews but that costs hours and just is not efficient if there are already previews within those raw files. Other companies which are much smaller than Adobe are capable to do that and many professional photographers use Photo Mechanic for culling their photos. So Adobe should provide that too.
Kind regards,

Lightroom does read the embedded preview in the import module, but it still has pretty lame performance. This has been discussed since LR 1.0 but seems to be low to not on Adobe's priorities. Pity.
