View Layer Names Outside of Photoshop

I'd really love to see some sort of feature where I can see what layers are in a PSD, without opening the PSD.

Opening one or two docs at a time is no problem, but I work with several companies that send me thousands of PSD's at a time, and I need to run some sort of quality control on what layers are in the PSD. We have a structure where we create PSD's with 2 layers, but very often I will get files from people who unknowingly left in one or two extra layers.

I then have to go in and open each PSD to see if there is a layer in there that is not supposed to be.

Does anyone know of a program, a feature, or a plug-in or anything that can help with this? I have yet to find anything that will let me do that.

I don't need to know anything grand (like blending modes or opacity), just the layer name.

Any feedback or insight helps, and if not maybe this can be logged as a possible future feature.

Thanks,
Tyler
