Video import problem Lightroom 5.4 Windows

Videos do not import since upgrade to Lightroom 5.4, error message I think refers to dynamic link server not being found. Import from folders that contain videos is unusually slow. Folder that had video also did not sync with Mobile. Computer OS is Windows 7. No change to video format (Canon DSLR) or anything else except LR.

Make certain that your anti-virus software didn't quarantine any files on installation. That is a common problem - especially with Symantec versions that haven't been updated.

Thank you! My antivirus software (McAfee) was blocking the Adobe dynamic link manager installed for 5.4. Allowed it and it's working fine now.

Hi there,

I encounter the same problem. I use Norton (windows 7). How could I see if Norton caused this problem? Reinstalling did't solve the issue and there were no (Norton) messages.

Thank you!

Norton creates a quarantine area that will have the suspect file. You will need to find it and restore it. Norton's support should be able to help you with this.

Hello Rikk, thank you for the reply. I found the section in Norton and there was no such file. I re installed Lr to see if anything was placed in quarantine, but no such luck.

In the meanwhile I'm still not able to import any video file with Lr 5.4.

Would you have an other solution?
