Lightroom: Video metadata not visible like it is in Nikon and Canon software

I think it is time for Lightroom users to be able to see the metadata available in OEM software. Things like Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, Focal Length, Lens, etc.

It is annoying not being able to use Lightroom as a database for video when the information is obviously available in the free OEM software.

Granted that a standard does not exist, but if all of the different raw type can be added, why not the different video metadata types?

I agree at all! I am looking for a central database of my media - stills and videos. Lightroom is organizing very well my still pictures and exports any meta data if required.
I cannot understand why Adobe does not add this little feature as well for video clips realised as an xmp sidecar. At once this would be the de facto industry standard. For the customer Lightroom would then work as a reliable central media database that not forces the customer to stay for ever.
