Very slow GUI in Photoshop CC2014, is it normal?

Hello there,
just switched to Photoshop CC cause of some Colormanagement Problems.
Bought a new Computer, bought CC2014 installed everything and was happy about
different Tools beeing much faster as i expected.

But now after a Day of Work with it i would like to throw the whole thing out of the Window. Every usual move you do, e.g. picking a specific Layer, renaming it, change from Layer to mask... just all the little inbetweens of your workflow are so unimaginable slow that i can not stay in a pace of movements like i did with CS5 and a much older MacPro (2006 1.1 > now 2010 5.1) its no fun at all, and with my pace of changing tools, Layers, modi, it feels like working with a broken arm.

Is there anything wrong with my system or is CC2014 just slow like nohing else ?

ati4870, 24gig ram 2,8ghz quad, Sonnet tempo SSD.
i dont get it....

No, that is not normal.
First, make sure you have all the Photoshop updates installed.
Then make sure that your video card driver is updated from the GPU maker's website.
After that, you'll have to try disabling third party plugins and utilities on your system to see what might be interfering with Photoshop.

Il try all that and let you know. btw. with very slow i meant there#s a little delay ( wich of course feels like a very long time when you are used to a speedy way of working) in on every click on almost every button. Like some quart to half second...
